Perry's TKD Academy

FAQ
Taekwondo is a Korean martial art known for its emphasis on high, fast kicks, spinning and jumping techniques, and dynamic footwork. The word "Taekwondo "translates to "the way of the foot and the fist," highlighting its combination of powerful kicks and hand strikes.
It's not just about physical skill - Taekwondo also focuses on mental discipline, respect, and self-control. Practitioners follow a set of principles like courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. It's both a competitive sport (featured in the Olympics) and a form of self-defense.
Many people also practice Taekwondo for fitness, confidence-building, and personal growth.
We don't offer make-up classes at Perry's Taekwondo Academy, but with classes five days a week, Monday through Friday, there are plenty of opportunities to stay on track! If you miss a class and want some extra help, we do offer private lessons on Saturdays for a set fee to help you brush up on what you've missed.
